Doing the Dukan in Singapore!

In a bid to get down to my pre-college weight, I have started on the Dukan diet (no carbs! eeks!).

I’m a self confessed carb monster, loving all kinds of rice, noodles, pasta, bread, grains, potatoes etc, and I would quite happily eat bread and cheese and butter (think high fat foods) for breakfast every morning. I also take pleasure in trying out new restaurants and revisiting old ones, often the carb-iest, fattiest sort. Favourite foods (whilst too many to list) include: chilli crabs, BUTTER, CHEESE, ice-cream, laksa, foie gras, sushi, ramen, pork belly etc. basically anything with lots of fat and oil in it. BAD. No wonder I put on 15+kg over the past 10 years. It doesn’t help that Singapore’s such a food paradise with TONS of cheap tasty food. 😦 boo.

Moving into no carbs at all, I suspect would be a struggle. However, I’m not getting any younger, and hopefully, going on the Dukan diet will enable me to eat more healthily, and lose weight in the process.

This blog is intended as a way for me to track my weight, list what I’ve been eating, and hopefully be able to provide useful resources for others who want to start this diet too.

Wish me luck!
